Overview
UA will assist electricians during the installation of new electrical systems or repair and maintain electrical systems. They must be in compliance with state and local wiring codes.
Responsibilities
- Install communications and computer equipment.
- Using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Productively and safely install wire and electrical cable which they measure, cut, bend and thread through metal tubing called conduits.
- Assist in splicing wires at juncture points and feed / pull wiring into control centers and distribution boxes, transformers and transducers, switch gear and electrical outlets, and other permanent equipment.
- Cleanup activity.
- Gathering and transporting materials and tools to electricians on the construction project.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures included in the Bergelectric Corp. Employee Handbook.
Qualifications
- Understanding of the basic laws of electricity and electrical systems.
- Ability to understand technical instructions.
- Ability to follow instructions and assist electricians.
- Ability to see details and compare details in objects.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment.
- Basic mechanical skills.
