RN FA Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Full-Time - Evenings

Registered Nurse - Surgery Sign-On Bonus : $7,500 Schedule : Full Time, 40 hrs. 1100-1930 Monday-Friday with call and holiday rotation Location : Rochester, Michigan GENERAL SUMMARY : + Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.

• Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure. + Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
• Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. EDUCATION / LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED : + Obtain and maintain BLS certification on completion of hospital orientation required.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license at time of hire / transfer date required. + Graduate from an accredit School of Nursing at time of hire / transfer date.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Growth and Development over life span for all ages required. + Ability to manage multiple high-tech equipment / information devices simultaneously required.
• Must be able to take on-call shift. + Must be able to flex. + Must have minimum of two (2) years OR experience required.

Preferences : + Current CNOR certification desired preferred.
