About The Position
- Job Title : MRI Technologist Job Specialty : MRI Tech Job Duration : 17 weeks Shift : 10H Days, Monday to Thursday, 08 : 00 18 : 30 Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum 3 years License : Not required Certifications : ARRT (M), BLS Must-Have : - 1 year of MRI experience- Experience with Siemens equipment;
- Philips experience preferred- Prefer travel experience and Level II trauma experience is a plus- Comfortable starting IVs Job Description : - Perform musculoskeletal imaging, basic neuro, abdominal / pelvis imaging, radiation oncology, breast imaging- Handle pacemaker and anesthesia patients as well as ICU and NICU patients- Average 30 scans / studies per day due to long protocols- Utilize PACS : McKesson or Change Healthcare;
- Charting system : MEDITECH - 6.1- Department has a total of 4 scanners and a mobile unit; agency will staff 2- Radiologists are in-house during the day;
- majority of MRI readers are remote- No floating to other areas required- Strict 75-mile radius requirement from the address on the traveler's driver's license- Generally, shifts start between 8 am and 12 pm- Opportunity to volunteer for weekends, typically handling outpatients without contrast- Scrub color : Black scrubs with a black or gray jacket;
no fleece allowed; can wear a black or gray undershirt under scrubs- Unit-specific orientation provided for 1-2 weeks- Cancellation policy : 12 hours every 2 weeks
