Job Description

Stable, growing company seeks PCB Layout pro for their Long Island NY facility. They are well-established and have a strong product portfolio in the electronics space, providing high-reliability connectivity, power and control solutions for aerospace, defense, industrial, and space applications. Duties & Responsibilities include :

• Develop complete layout designs and design concepts for printed circuit board or hybrid circuit designs.
• Participate in and contribute to engineering design reviews on assigned projects.
• Work with project, electrical, and process engineering staff to ensure all of the product’s design requirements relating to physical design have been met.
• Review, analyze and modify completed layout design to ensure the products manufacturability, cost, performance, and reliability attributes have all been considered and optimized.
• Work with vendors and purchasing to ensure appropriate vendor design guidelines for manufacturability
• Create detailed drawings for overall design, subassemblies and related design elements.
• Review all final documentation for completeness and correctness.
• Mentor and guide other designers to build their layout and design skills
• Update designs and / or drawings in accordance with ECN instructions.
• Assist engineering personnel in designing mechanical aspects of design.
• Develop, regularly review and update formal design guidelines and design checklist documents to promote consistent quality
• Work with CAD vendors to ensure software tools include latest appropriate updates and patches

Preferred Qualifications include :

Layout Cadence Allegro / OrCAD V17.2+

Schematic Capture : Cadence OrCAD CIS V17.2+
