Konik is partnering with a local manufacturing company here in the Twin Cities. Our client is looking to add a Process Engineer to their team.
The Process Engineer will focus on process improvement, reducing waste, material yields, automation, and more.
Process Engineer Responsibilities
- Identify and execute process enhancement initiatives to elevate product quality, maximize machine performance, optimize material usage, and ensure worker safety.
- Support the Manufacturing team by training operators on the correct setup, operation, and maintenance of production equipment, as well as documenting these procedures.
- Participate in sourcing efforts for materials and equipment, such as film coatings, automation systems, packaging materials, and other production essentials.
- Develop and update comprehensive product specifications to meet quality and production standards.
- Provide technical expertise to resolve customer complaints and issues effectively.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance team to identify and implement the best solutions for maintenance work orders.
- Work closely with Sales, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams on new product development, including brainstorming sessions, material testing, cost analysis, equipment requirements, product trials, packaging design, and market launch preparations.
Process Engineer Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field from an accredited 4-year college.
- 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Ability to comprehend blueprints, schematics, technical documentation, and machinery manuals.
- Experience with identifying and implementing process improvements within a manufacturing company.
