We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Shreveport, Louisiana. The primary function of this role is to manage and maintain financial records, including payroll, general ledger, and financial analysis.
Responsibilities :
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends
- Manage the preparation and publication of departmental and organization financial documents
- Collaborate with executive and senior staff on the annual budget, financial planning, and company decisions
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is mentioned in the job description
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise would be advantageous.
- Experience in managing general ledger is mandatory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Experience in handling payroll tasks is essential
- Knowledge and experience of QuickBooks Enterprise is a must
- Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably as a senior accountant
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is an advantage.
