Mosaic Management Group is seeking a cook to join our team at Alpha Senior Concepts. This is a part time position, including every other weekend. Responsibilities include preparing meals for 40 plus residents. Candidate should be a team player, have a passion for preparing quality meals and follow all safe food handling policies and procedures.

General Responsibilities :

  • Preparing and delivering food as outlined by menu plan
  • Provide attractive presentation of meals for all types of diets
  • Maintaining kitchen sanitation and safety standards
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Must be able to operate all kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Equipment may include : food processor, mixers, ovens, griddle and dishwasher
  • Organizes cooler, freezer & store room

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications

  • Willing to demonstrate passion and ability to work with older adults and those with dementia including Alzheimer's disease.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ServSafe Certification & / or experience in a senior living community preferred
  • Ability to read, follow and understand menus and recipes, substituting equivalents of equal nutritional value when appropriate or directed
  • Ability to understand special diets including diabetic, no added salt, mechanical soft and pureed
