ACTION
Summary / Objective
The warehouse manager oversees all warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, maintaining accurate inventory, and timely parts order fulfillment.
Working closely with the production manager to ensure the fabrication department has the tools, parts, and materials they need in order to operate efficiently is the highest priority.
They will also work cross-functionally with the purchasing manager and parts sales in order to maintain high quality and customer-centric practices.
This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly working environment within the warehouse.

- Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock
- Manage and train warehouse associates; monitoring performance, providing respectful and constructive feedback, and ensuring the safe and proper use of warehouse equipment
- Receive incoming deliveries and checking received parts and materials for quality and specifications
- Prepare finished equipment for shipping.
- Ensure parts orders are prepared and shipped with a high level of attention to detail and urgency
- Organizing and maintaining accurate inventory of existing, on-hand parts and materials
- Prepare parts bins for production ensuring all parts and materials needed for the specific equipment being built
- General warehouse labor consisting of cleaning, parts assembly, and taking inventory
- Operate a forklift to receive shipments and store and retrieve parts and materials
- Operate over head cranes, jib cranes and other various hand and power tools to move, cut, grind, prep and assemble parts and materials for production or shipping
- Oversee and conduct annual inventory reporting

Supervisory Responsibility
This position will supervise the warehouse associate(s), secondary to the production manager.
Work Environment
The warehouse manager will work primarily in the warehouse with regular exposure to the shop and steel yard. Employees in the shop are exposed to consistent levels of noise caused by hand and power tools with ear protection required at all times.
Temperatures in the shop will vary depending on the season and outdoor temperature. Little to no exposure to sun, rain, and / or snow.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of the position, a warehouse associate is required to frequently stand, walk, climb stairs, kneel, squat, stoop, carry / lift, push / pull, and reach (overhead, at and below shoulder level) with their arms / hands.
Warehouse associate lifting requirements are as follows : Lifting < 5 lbs. 50-75% of the time; 5 10 lbs. 10 20% of the time;
10 20 lbs. 10 20% of the time; 20 40 lbs. 0 10% of the time; 40 50 lbs. 0 5% of the time. This position also requires visual acuity, with or without corrective eyewear.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and scheduled days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 : 00am to 3 : 30pm. Occasional weekend work is optional and may be offered as workload demands.
This schedule is subject to change at any time with limited notice.
Travel
Occasional local travel is required but no overnight travel is anticipated for this position.
Required Education and Experience / Skills
- Minimum 4-years of experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing setting with experience in shipping and receiving, or other similar role
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating a forklift
- Basic computer skills, typing, data entry, etc.
- Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and other measuring devices
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions, policies and procedures
- Ability to work productively and efficiently as part of team and independently
- Ability to train and lead others effectively and respectfully
- Valid driver license
Preferred Education and Experience / Skills
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) verbal and written
- Experience working in a manufacturing / production setting especially working with steel or other metal products
- Experience operating a Combilift
- Experience utilizing MRP software or other warehouse / inventory software
- Previous leadership experience
Pay : $23.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience
