Pharmacy Technician

Description

This position is responsible for assisting the Pharmacist and Nurse in providing pharmaceutical and supply services to patients.

The Pharmacy Technician performs non-discretionary functions, which include dispensing, distribution of medications and supplies, and maintaining patient records.

These duties are performed under the immediate supervision and control of a licensed pharmacist.

In this role you will be responsible for :

• Medication reconciliation
• Medication histories
• Working with a multi-disciplinary team (pharmacist, nurse, provider, etc.) and communicating using an electronic medical record
• Problem solving and customer service.

Required qualifications :

Upon hire : Washington Pharmacy Technician License

Preferred qualifications :

• Coursework / Training Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician Program.
• Customer service experience.
