Description
- Provide opportunities for community integration.
- Document all day-to-day activities and ensure required documentation is completed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with individuals, families, coworkers, and outside agencies
- Assist clients in maintaining a clean home
- Ensure individuals receive their medication and document accurately
- Assist individuals with meal preparation
- Take individuals to their doctor appointments and ensure documentation by providers is completed.
- Work to implement the goals of the individuals.
- Engage with ongoing training requirements 24 hours of annual training required.
- Exhibit a positive attitude
- Be flexible and a team player
- Promote independence and an everyday life
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- CPR / AED / First Aid certification preferred (training available)
- Medication Administration preferred (training available)
- Physical and TB test
- Ability to pass a background check and, if applicable, FBI clearance.
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
- Ability to complete one-person transfers with a wheelchair
