Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
Were partnering with a school district to fill a Special Education Teacher position for the 2024-2025 academic year, preferring candidates with school-based experience.
However, they are open to considering all Special Education professionals! The role involves providing services to a K-8 caseload.
Job Details :
- Onsite near the Brook Park, Ohio area
- Start ASAP
students / sites and caseload information will be discussed more in depth with special services' director during interview
Requirements :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
- Valid state (OH) teaching certification / license in Special Education.
- Prior experience working with students with special needs in inner city is preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
