American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring Level 1 trauma hospital experience, ND or compact RN license, and proficiency with complex surgical procedures.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Acute care hospital setting with a Level 1 trauma OROperates within a 25-suite operating room, handling 75 to 100 cases per dayPatient ratio of 1 : 1 for circulating nursesPerforms general, ENT, Neuro / Ortho, and robotic (DaVinci preferred) procedures utilizing advanced equipment such as cautery, lasers, laparoscopic, arthroscopy, and Stealth navigationUses Epic EMR for charting; experience preferredDay shifts of 8 or 10 hours with late stay as needed, rotating to PM shifts with staffOn-call required 1 to 2 days a week and every 3 to 4 weekendsMay occasionally float to Broadway or South University campusesCirculate and provide comprehensive patient care in the operative setting, including documenting procedures, performing sterile site preps, and utilizing OR equipmentResponsible for catheter insertion, sterile supply set-up, patient positioning, and accurate record entry in EpicHospital provides ceil blue scrubs for OR staffAll clinicians required to badge in and out at the facilityFirst time travelers acceptedHoliday and late-stay coverage as needed by clinical operations\n \n Requirements\n
Active ND or compact RN licenseCurrent BLS certificationMinimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience in a large acute care hospital (250+ beds) with Level 1 trauma statusExperience working in facilities with at least 15 OR suitesExperience with Neuro / Ortho procedures and navigation systemsDaVinci robotic experience preferredOutpatient center experience does not qualifyMust reside at least 60 miles from the facility for consideration; local rates apply to those within 60–80 milesPrevious employees must have a separation of at least 6 months before consideration\n Benefits\n
