Our client is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 1st Shift, working Monday - Friday from 7am - 3 : 30pm. This company is installing new equipment and doing new capital upgrades into their facility and are seeking a strong technician to ensure the viability of the equipment.
The Maintenance Technician position requires that he / she be responsible for maintaining a safe workplace. The individual will be required to maintain facility and equipment to accommodate efficient and safe operations and all associated process equipment including : welder, vacuum pumps, feed lines, chilled water systems, etc.
Act as front-line leader for technical knowledge on highly complex equipment problems. - Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements of all equipment.
- Troubleshoot any issues of mechanical devises, correct issues as necessary to maintain productivity / quality standards.
- Control downtime by communicating with all departments. Maintain equipment, parts and supplies inventories, conserve resources when able.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, and comply with company safety policies and procedures
- Support with various facility maintenance as assigned.
- Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement
Qualifications & Requirements :
- High school diploma or Associates / Bachelors’ degree a plus
- Minimum of 5 years industrial maintenance experience - Experience in an injection mold or extrusion facility preferred
- Ability to read, comprehend, and complete blueprints, electrical schematics, operating and maintenance manuals, work orders, and parts requests.
- Knowledge of measuring equipment including standard and metric tape measure, micrometer, caliper, Fluke, scales, and VOM (Volt / Ohm Meter)
- Advance knowledge of machine operations and mechanical functions.
- Ability to disassemble, repair, and troubleshoot plant machinery.
