Associate Inbound Planner
Responsibilities Providing H-E-B customers with products they love is a big job, and our Transportation Teams are key to helping stock our stores and keeping our supply chain moving all over Texas and Mexico. As an Associate Inbound Planner, you'll create, tender, and track loads using available tools and information, and hold ownership over the entire process until final delivery at H-E-B warehouses. Scheduling / Administration :
Works with direct supervision and from detailed verbal and written instructionsCommunicates proactively with shippers, carriers, and internal H-E-B departmentsDevelops / applies basic skills in procedures, techniques, and tools, appropriate to areaTracks / monitors all inbound activity on H-E-B, Parkway, and third-party carrier daily activityTracks / monitors vendor performance and root causes of delays or issuesDevelops / applies basic knowledge of available business units and assigned geographical ops areas to create loadsDevelops / applies basic knowledge of LTL consolidation of multiple products from multiple customers to create loadsDevelops / applies basic knowledge of different carrier resources available to create loadsCustomer Service :
Communicates with suppliers / vendors, supply chain partners, appropriate RSC on order / shipment changesReports potential late arrivals to Procurement and Warehouse OperationsIdentifies root causes of service and cost issues to support vendor OTIF programProvides first-level customer service to resolve routine questions and problems; escalates issues outside parameters appropriatelyWhat is your background?
High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ years of experience in logistics (preferred); experience in customer service (preferred)
