smartdept. inc. is searching for a Graphic Designer / Social Media Specialist for a woman-owned bakery client of ours in Chicago, IL.
The ideal candidate will have food / beverage industry experience with a creative specialization in social media marketing.
This is a fully remote, part-time, 3-month contract opportunity that has the possibility of extension.

What You’ll Do :
- Create monthly content calendars for social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to build meaningful customer connections, increase brand awareness, and encourage community members to engage with the brand.
- Create, draft, and publish content to social media daily : this includes publishing stories daily and creating 15 posts / reels monthly.
- Coordinate the development of new graphics and images for social media.
What You’ll Need :
- Experience creating / developing social media content with an understanding of multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook).
- Ability to create content for social posts, stories, and reels required.
- Experience with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, to create content for socials.
- Experience creating and maintaining a social content calendar.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience in the food industry is required.
