Job Description : As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems.

Your expertise will ensure the safety and compliance of our clients' facilities.

As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems.

Your expertise will ensure the safety and compliance of our clients' facilities.

Key Responsibilities :

Installation : Plan, design, and install fire alarm systems, including control panels, detectors, pull stations, and notification devices.

You must understand how to read blueprints and effectively terminate and trim Fire Alarm Panels and Booster Panels.

• Maintenance : Perform regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems to ensure functionality and compliance with safety codes.
• Troubleshooting : Diagnose and repair issues with fire alarm systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum safety. This includes locating and addressing ground faults.
• Compliance : Ensure all work adheres to local, state, and national fire safety codes and standards. A basic understanding of fire alarm code is essential.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or GED; additional technical training or associate degree preferred.
• NICET Level II certification or higher in Fire Alarm Systems; NICET Certification.
• Certification and training in EST-3 systems.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with fire alarm systems, preferably EST-3.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, local regulations, and a basic understanding of circuitry including Class A and B circuits.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Skills :

• Knowledge of how to use a multimeter.
• Understanding of relays and how to properly terminate them.
