Job Description
Globalshipping company in central NJ is seeking a SystemEngineer Monitoring Engineer.
Youwill be involved in maintaining operating and innovating thefirm's corporate infrastructure ensuring they remain at thecutting edge of technology and service.
You will need to work fully onsite for thefirst 3 months; after that work remotely 2days / week.
Responsibilities :
- Managing and monitoring of existing systemsand infrastructure.
- Maintaining systemdocumentation to include system reviews andrecommendations.
- Identifying potential issuesand proactively proposing solutions and improvements.
- Securing systems by establishing and enforcing policiesand defining and monitoring access.
- Fulfillingad hoc tasks and projects as required by the Company.
- Contributing to the definition and implementation ofproject best practices and quality processes.
Qualifications
Required skills andexperience :
- Strongexperience in the information security / technologysector.
- Proven experience with Azure AzureDevOps and working within CI / CD pipelines.
- Proven experience with REST API's.
- Proven experience in incident management service requestmanagement and troubleshooting using root cause analysis (RCA)techniques.
- Experience with monitoring tools(Datadog or similar).
- Ability to multitask andwork under pressure.
Any of thefollowing would be a plus :
- Experience of using ticketing systems and use ofmonitoring and management tools.
- Experiencewith cloudbased solutions around compute storage and network(Azure).
- Experience with Agilemethodology.
- Scripting knowledge (Ansible BashPython Powershell).
- ITILcertification.
- Practical experience working inan RHEL environment.
