Job Summary

The Department of Student Media in the College of Communication, Architecture and the Arts (CARTA) is currently seeking a student staff reporter to join their team of professionals. Duties include the following :

• Responsible for covering stories assigned to them by their director.
• Must ensure all stories are turned in on time by their assigned deadline and ensuring stories are well written (good grammar, proper attribution).
• Will be responsible for reporting and covering certain areas / departments / subjects deemed by their director.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Story-telling and question-giving skills.

Capable of working in a team.

AP Style writing.

Organizational and time management skills.

Knowledgeable with Microsoft Word, Google Docs / Drive, and other relevant programs.
