Student Learning Center Coordinator Illustrative and Graphic Design Specialist
Location : Lakewood, CO, Hybrid
Target Salary : $50,000- $55,000 per year

Job Summary
The learning commons coordinator is responsible for developing new programs within the learning commons, as well as taking the lead in writing tutoring.
This individual would oversee tutor training, and new academic support program builds. New programs might include tutor education and certifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide Tutoring and Academic Mentoring (40%)
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance student learning outcomes and academic success.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring, group study sessions, and workshops on various subjects and academic skills.
- Collaborate with faculty to identify areas of student need and tailor support services accordingly.
- Create and deliver academic support materials (webinars, Tip Sheets, etc.)
Utilize educational technologies and resources to supplement traditional learning methods. Assist with Marketing and Outreach (40%)
- Develop the schedule for, implement, and deliver on-ground class visits
- Design and deliver academic support materials (webinars, Tip Sheets, etc.)
- Assist with the development and organization of SLC special events and marketing materials
Collaborate with Student Affairs Department and Marketing to develop marketing for campus events and educational materials. Administration (20%)
- Provide web design support for the Libguides, with an eye to maintaining RMCAD branding
- Cross departmental collaboration with Marketing to further enhance administrative sites and material needed for enhanced communication with students, staff, external organizations and other stakeholders.
- Work with SLC Coordinators, the advisors, and the faculty mentor to develop tools for academic coaching for BOTH students and faculty
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience with tutoring techniques; learning assistance programs; a variety of learning styles; administrative and instructional support learning assistance technologies;
teaching, learning, and collaboration techniques.
- Ability to work with a diverse population of students.
- Ability to plan, organize and provide academic assistance activities for individuals and groups.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to organize complex material
- Working knowledge of Basic MS Office, Adobe Suite, CAD, and on-line learning,
- Knowledge of, or background, in the arts a plus. Working Conditions and Physical Demands Position may include evening and / or weekend hours.
