General Laborer (Heat Treat)

Heat Treat - Lima, OH - Full Time

Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a General Laborer for our operation. The General Laborer is responsible for performing general and / or material labor skills in support of production, maintenance, and administration needs.

This is a 1st shift (days) position, Monday through Friday with occasional OT possible. Starting rate of pay is $16.50 pr hr,, with a $1.

00 per hour increase every 6 months until top rate of pay is achieved. This position is also eligible to earn production incentive pay. Responsibilities :

• Assist machine operators in loading and unloading machines
• Loading and unloading of trucks
• Assists with removal of machining turnings from pits
• General custodial responsibilities including (but not limited to) cleaning of floors, bathrooms, offices, and breakroom areas
• Maintain janitorial equipment, supplies, and closet
• Painting of safety indicators in plant
• Perform other department duties, as assigned

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions :

• Must be capable of lifting up to 25-55 lbs regularly
• Must be able to climb stairs
• Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
• Manufacturing environment with heat, noise, dust, and vibration

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid drivers license required
• Must have prior experience in manufacturing environment
• Must be able to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Must pass pre-employment criminal background check, physical and drug screen upon conditional offer of employment.

Classification : Hourly

Benefits :

Eligible after 60 days (520 working hours) : production incentive program (potential to add $1-$2 per hour to base pay, based on production)

Eligible at 6 months : pay progression program, participation in 401K program, STD (short term disability).
