Ford is in the middle of a Supply Chain Transformation. One of the key focus areas to enable this transformation is to ensure there is a robust technology strategy and roadmap for the new software tools being implemented for n-tiers supply chain visibility and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead in the creation and implementation of IT solutions to meet the functional & nonfunctional requirements of the long-term capabilities and use-cases of supply chain digitization
- Experiment with external, third-party tools (e.g., AI / ML, Eclipse Dataspace Connectors) and explore their integration opportunity with for N-Tier Collaboration platforms and tools
- Research and develop rapid prototypes to prove out new concepts, use-cases, and tools
- Interact with external and internal technical peers (Product Designers and Managers, Software Engineers, Architects, Vendors) to co-develop the solutions
- Coordinate with application architects to validate solution designs with a focus on the reliability and stability of the product
- Contribute to developing solutions that are optimized for performance, scalability, security, and analytics integration
- Contribute to maintaining an evolving backlog and enable the group to go further with effective usage of Rally / Jira
- Participate in triage and debugging sessions for systems / tools integration issues
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent5+ years of programming experience in at least two highly utilized programming languages and tools, i.e., C++ / C#, Java, Python, R, HTML5, JavaScript, Node.js, etc.3+ years of experience with scripting and SQL / NoSQL databases3+ years of experience with cloud application development with GCP / Azure / AWS / PCF2+ years of experience with frontend web frameworks such as React, Angular, etc.2+ years of experience working with CI / CD systems (e.g., Gitlab / Jenkins)Proven, demonstrable experience in developing and managing high availability, scalable applications using toolkits such as Spring Boot, Git, Docker, RESTful APIs, DevOps toolsExperience with emerging technologies such as AI / ML frameworks (like TensorFlow, Caffe, Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)Desired Skills
Full stack developer with ability to design, build and deliver rapid prototypesStrong background in agile programming principles and methodologiesExcellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skillsMaster's degree in computer science or equivalent preferredBenefits

This position is a range of salary grades 6-8.
