Job Summary : The Bilingual Receptionist is the gatekeeper of LAMB’s 14th Street facility, providing a warm, welcoming, and inviting atmosphere for students, staff, parents, and visitors.
The receptionist also completes administrative tasks and supports the administration. This is a 9 : 45 am to 6 : 00 pm position.
Essential Duties Provide excellent customer service to parents, staff, students, and visitors in both English and Spanish via in-person contact, telephone, and email in a fast-paced front desk setting.
Welcome visitors, manage the visitor sign-in log, and provide directions to parents, volunteers, and guests. As part of the school’s safety team, be aware at all times of all events, drills, and visitors in the building.
Answer phone inquiries by providing general information and / or connecting calls as appropriate. Perform a variety of clerical tasks which may include scheduling and maintaining records of school activities, check-in / check-out of supplies and materials, photocopying, typing, and data input, among others.
Collect funds (lunch, field trips, etc.) from parents. Ensure office supplies are kept in stock. Receive and distribute incoming mail and help prepare outgoing student communications when needed.
Conduct the intake and follow-up for late arrivals and early dismissals. Dismiss BASE students via ParentSquare. Support student health rooms and address emergency and non-emergency situations as they arise.
Receive and process Kids Ride Free Smartrip card requests. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum of a high school diploma.
At least one years’ experience performing the duties and responsibilities associated with this position. Bilingual-Excellent written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English required.
Able to work in a multicultural, bilingual environment. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and computer skills (Google Workspace).
Able to multitask, prioritize, and work flexibly and collaboratively. Able to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to parent, staff, and student needs and information.
