AP Specialist (Contract)

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with an established chemical manufacturer in the Bergen County area is on the search for an sharp AP Specialist to join the team on a contract basis (expected to last through March 2025).

This is an exciting opportunity to work for an industry leader!

Location : Saddle Brook, NJ

Hours : 8 : 30am - 5 : 30pm M-F

Pay Rate : $25-30 / hr

AP Specialist Responsibilities :

• Support various projects within AP.
• Process and review invoices for accuracy and completeness
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
• Prepare and perform journal entries related to accounts payable
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
• Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as purchasing and receiving, to resolve any invoice or payment issues
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations

AP Specialist Requirements :

• HS Diploma or GED minimum, Degree preferred
• Ability to multi-task and take on multi-projects
• Minimum 3-5 years of AP experience.
• Analytical skillset with great attention to detail.
• Strong Excel skills (vlookups and pivot tables) as well as SAP experience.
