Job Details

Responsibilities :

Direct Financial and Accounting Operations : Oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting, including budgeting, internal financial controls, and audit practices.

Strategic Leadership : Develop and lead strategic direction and daily execution of key accounting and finance roles, including accounts payable and payroll.

Executive Reporting : Report directly to the CFO, assisting the leadership team in developing analysis for key decision-making, maintaining financial reporting and KPIs, and driving decisions on cash planning and capital structure.

Key Duties :

Maintain System of Accounts : Oversee the maintenance of company books and records on all transactions and assets. Develop efficient protocols and internal controls to safeguard company information.

Establish Accounting and Finance Policies : Create and enforce accounting processes and controls, including cash and credit management, and ongoing coordination with management and employees.

Prepare Monthly Financial Statements : Prepare, verify, and disseminate financial reports as necessary and appropriate for executive leadership, corporate office, project management, and external agencies.

Financial Analysis : Utilize statistical accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and effectiveness of the organization.

Manage Lender Relationships and Compliance : Maintain relationships with and produce required reporting for third-party debt financing providers.

Monitor debt levels and ensure compliance with covenants. Assist in raising incremental financing as needed.

Lead Financial Planning and Decision-Making : Coordinate and direct budgeting, investment activities, and financial planning.

Provide oversight in developing financial analysis to complement accounting information and support management decisions.

Legal Compliance : Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.

Manage and Develop Finance Team : Lead, develop, and maintain an effective accounting team. Manage recruitment, performance evaluations, training, coaching, compensation, discipline, and termination of team members.

Ensure Accuracy and Confidentiality : Participate in timely closing processes, review expenses to ensure financial statements are accurate and complete, and protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential when appropriate.

Provide Excellent Customer Service : Deliver excellent internal and external customer service by consistently demonstrating performance standards, including attitude, responsiveness, communication, privacy, teamwork, and accountability.

Manage Real Estate Accounting : Compile monthly reconciliation for rental income, expenses, assets, depreciation expense, and fixed assets in process.

Verify invoices from landlords to lease agreements, process asset additions and disposals, and prepare journal entries for fixed assets.

Reconcile municipal property tax valuations against property tax returns.

Manage Company Insurance Policies : Be accountable for managing malpractice insurance, auto insurance, and liability insurance policies.
