Job Description :

We are seeking a Engineer, Senior Staff for a very important client.Job Description Overview Create software / firmware test plans, addressing requirements traceability matrix and test coverage, with respect to feature requirements Design, develop, execute and maintain automated software / firmware test suites for the purpose of verifying quality and compliance of Company products at functional, integration and system levels Manually test, where appropriate, the customer experience of installation and deployment of Company hardware and software in a mobile, compute and automotive environment.

Assist in the creation of a Quality Engineering / Release engineering process with emphasis on continuous integration and continuous development Assist in achieving production-level software readiness, implement customer use-cases, workload analysis models, workload creation, and collaborating with other teams on bring-up / debug / diags Focus on ensuring that existing Operating Systems and customer usage environments run well, while identifying strong opportunity for enhancements, from a power and performance perspective.

  • Systems Test Engineering - The ability to plan and design tests for proper integration of systems components and features, including knowledge of the system under test This also includes the ability to perform cost / benefit analysis for types of testing to be employed versus potential systems errors, consult on approaches and tools for testing compatibility with other features, analyze test executions and results, implement improvements to testing process and tools, and provide time, effort, and resource estimates for thorough testing.
  • Time Management - The ability to quickly prioritize mission-critical from less important or trivial work activities This includes sensing what the next most useful thing is to work on, and focusing on the critical few tasks that add value while putting aside or delaying the rest.
  • Troubleshooting - The ability to detect malfunctions in daily operations, including scheduling issues and process problems, and determining root causes and appropriate solutions for operating errors This also includes the ability to detect malfunctions or the need for repair and adjustment to various types of equipment and implement corrective actions and track their success.

Requirement :

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities. Top 5 Required Skills1 Extensive experience with test case automation2 Extensive experience with C, Python and / or other test automation programming platforms3 Experience with Design, develop, execute and maintain software tools and automated test suites for the purpose of verifying quality and compliance4 Experience using deductive and inductive problem solving5 Experience and full comfort with communication to large groups or high-level constituents Technologies : C, Python, Bug tracking systems Keywords : Firmware, Python, Testing, Debug, Collaboration with high-level stakeholders Education : Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field Years of Experience : 7-11 (9 years is really the baseline, but 7 or 8 years could be OK if they are stellar and have great experience to speak to) Preferred Qualifications : 12 years+ of demonstrated software test engineering experienceStrong understanding and experience in software / firmware test automation techniquesStrong programming skills with experience in C and / or Python programming languagesExtensive experience working with operating systems like Windows, Linux and AndroidExperience developing automated software / firmware test cases for mobile, compute and / or automotive platforms, supporting bring-up and production SW releaseExperience testing for production quality software, on schedule, particularly in an organization that delivers software to enable SOC (System-On-Chip) solutionsAdditional Asset qualification : Experience in release engineering, continuous integration and continuous development environments
