Spacecraft Production Lead

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Spacecraft Production Lead to join our diverse and dynamic team. You will develop production processes and documentation, build a team as the company grows, create technical facilities, and lead spacecraft integration and test activities from cradle-to-grave.

YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE :

• Leading and executing plans for spacecraft subassembly builds and tests
• Conducting comprehensive system-level testing on spaceflight hardware
• Overseeing environmental test campaigns, including EMI, Vibration, and Thermal Vacuum
• Identifying and implementing essential ground support equipment
• Supporting system engineering verification activities
• Leading design, integration, and test readiness reviews
• Commissioning and maintaining our production ecosystem, including work order and inventory systems
• Managing facilities such as cleanrooms and flight hardware build areas
• Building and developing a diverse team of manufacturing engineers, test engineers, and technicians

KEY CREDENTIALS :

• BS in Engineering or related field
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in spacecraft integration and functional testing
• Experience in drafting and executing work orders or build instructions per AS9100 or similar standards
• Experience in writing test procedures
• Experience in environmental testing
• Knowledge of cleanroom and ESD-sensitive build operations
• Experience with non-conformance reporting and documentation processes
• Onsite work location within the DMV area
• Willingness to travel to test, integration, and launch site(s)

NICE-TO-HAVE CREDENTIALS :

• MS in Engineering or related field
• At least 7 years of relevant experience
• Experience managing small teams of direct reports
• Experience in reviewing design drawings
• Hands-on experience with build and inspection tools
