Transportation Engineer
We are TERRA Engineering, Ltd.
We are seeking an experienced civil engineer to join our dynamic Transportation Team in support of the Chicago Department of Transportation’s (CDOT) Streetscape and Sustainable Design Program.
The role will be on site in CDOT’s office working directly with the team managing the Streetscape and Sustainable Design Program.
You Will
- Assist and support our client managing of CDOT Livable Streets design projects.
- Provide technical support in various stages of project, including preliminary design, final design and contract documentation including cost estimates and specifications.
- Discuss and propose solutions to technical issues during design & construction.
- Develop memorandums and other written technical documents.
- Assist with review plans, specifications, and bid packages.
- Support projects by attending meetings and interacting with agency officials, and contractors.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Qualifications
Minimum :
- 0-3 years of professional experience in civil engineering with a focus on transportation and related disciplines.
- Good technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with an emphasis on organization and quality work.
Preferred :
- Experience working on CDOT projects.
- E.I.T. or P.E. licensure preferred
- Experience with technical reviews
