As a Production Supervisor for our 2nd shift, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team in the food manufacturing industry.
This is a full-time, permanent position where your leadership and supervisory skills will be put to the test as you manage production lines, ensure quality control, and coordinate with other departments to achieve maximum productivity.
You will be responsible for overseeing a diverse team, and your ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish will be critical to your success.
This role requires a strong understanding of regulatory standards, including HACCP, SQF, FDA, USDA, and RTE. Experience working in a unionized environment is a plus.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of the 2nd shift production team to ensure efficiency and productivity.
2. Maintain compliance with HACCP, SQF, FDA, USDA, and RTE standards to ensure quality and safety of our products.
3. Train, guide, and evaluate production staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
4. Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any production-related issues.
5. Monitor equipment and request maintenance when necessary.
6. Ensure adherence to company policies and union agreements.
7. Manage production schedules and ensure timely delivery of products.
8. Communicate effectively with staff at all levels, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the engineering or manufacturing industry.
2. Proficient in English and Spanish (Bilingual).
3. In-depth knowledge of HACCP, SQF, FDA, USDA, and RTE standards.
4. Experience working in a unionized environment.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly under pressure.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
9. Proficient in using computer software and technology for production management and reporting.
10. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
