Overview
Operations Excellence Process Manager will develop and implement a comprehensive Lean Operating System across our parts distribution network. This role will drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and cultural transformation through Lean principles, tools, and methodologies. The Operations Excellence Process Manager will enable teams to understand, own, and improve their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through coaching, data visibility, and structured problem-solving.
Essential Functions
- Creates and articulates a clear vision for a Lean Operating System tailored to a parts distribution environment
- Develops a multi-year roadmap for operational excellence initiatives aligned with business goals
- Designs and deploys standardized Lean tools and practices (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management)
- Leads the development of performance management systems and KPIs to monitor progress and impact
- Develops, implements, and maintains standardized processes across locations to consistency and efficiency
- Implements visual management systems to make KPIs visible and actionable
- Coaches' teams in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving to drive KPI improvement
- Uses data to focus efforts on high-impact areas and eliminate waste
- Champions a culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline
- Trains, coaches, and mentors' leaders and frontline teams in Lean principles and problem-solving techniques
- Partners with Distribution Center leadership, Supply Chain, IT, and HR to ensure alignment and integration of Lean initiatives
- Facilitates cross-functional workshops and improvement events to address systemic challenges
- Drives measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement
- Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of Lean initiatives and adjust strategies as needed
- Maintains strict confidentiality
- Performs other duties and / or tasks as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)7 – 10 years operations excellence, Lean transformation, or supply chain leadershipProven track record of implementing Lean systems and driving KPI improvement in a distribution or manufacturing environmentLean Six Sigma certification preferredTravel required up to 25% of the timePhysical Demands
