Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Orthopedics for a travel nursing job in Charleston, West Virginia.

6S Ortho / Med Surg Overflow RN
3x12 or 4x12 Nights 7p-7a, weekdays, every other weekend, float
Please limit holiday RTO requests to no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays
Patients who have undergone bone and joint reconstructive surgery, joint replacement, orthopedic trauma surgery, or have experienced sports injury.
Med / Surg overflow. Remote telemetry monitoring with off the unit station staffed by tech. Patient ages are 18 and older.
Patient ratios typically 1 : 4 but will occasionally flex to 1 : 5.
Unit acts under a team nursing model
Orientation / Start Dates held every other week on Thursday
Years Required : 2 Years
1st Time Travelers Accepted if experienced in ICU
Shift Info : 36 or 48hr contract options, Every other weekend required, Clinician can be floated within scope to meet facilities needs
Certs Required : BCLS; (ACLS, NIH preferred)
Skill Requirements : Telemetry, IV Start, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Argatroban, Amiodarone, Dopamine (for renal perfusion only), CPMs, Orthopat, Constavac, Hemovac, Wound Vacs, traction.
Open to accommodating blocked schedule requests
100mi. Radius Rule (75-99mi. can be sent for facility approval)
WV / Compact RN License required - can submit with pending RN license
36hrs guaranteed

Flu Shot : Please DO NOT SEND ANYONE WHO REFUSES FLU SHOT WITHOUT MEDICAL PROOF. CAMC requires all personnel take flu vaccine unless they have allergy documented by an allergist or physician record.
CAMC FLU SEASON IS OCTOBER 1st - MARCH 31st. NOT REQUIRED OUTSIDE OF THAT WINDOW.
Covid Vaccine NOT required
