Holland & Hart's Energy, Telecommunications and Utilities (ETU) practice is seeking an associate to join this collaborative subgroup of our Environmental Energy & Natural Resources practice in our Denver office.

This position involves guiding clients through federal and state regulatory and administrative proceedings involving public utilities.
This associate will focus on the rates and regulation of electric and gas utilities, pipelines, and nonutility electric generators and will assist clients with solving complex issues impacting electric and gas services.
Position Requirements :
Candidates should have relevant, level-appropriate experience or interest within the spectrum of public utility regulatory matters, and / or solid law school performance record, superior writing and communication skills, and a commitment to delivering stellar client service and practical business-oriented advice to a sophisticated clientele.
The ideal candidate will have a background in business (economics, accounting, finance) or engineering undergraduate degree.
Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes innovation, efficiency, teamwork, and excellence. Clerkship experience a plus.
References will be required.
Compensation and Expectations :
Holland & Hart’s compensation is merit-based you’ll be evaluated on your individual performance and achievements and on your contributions to the team’s efforts.
As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Act, Holland & Hart is providing a good faith salary range for this position (if based in Colorado) is $180,000 - $190,000.
Holland & Hart expects associates to invest 1800 hours on billable matters, 75 hours of pro bono / public service work (or 50 hours of pro bono legal work), in addition to at least 25 hours dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
