The Director of Process Improvement will support a rapid and continuous improvement culture by becoming a process expert, identifying improvement opportunities, leading improvement teams, and coaching and preparing others to sustain and achieve process goals.
This role will be responsible for tackling the largest, most complex, and often ambiguous challenges at the company, requiring deep thought expertise, complex problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
This leader will be responsible for providing definition to business challenges, structuring frameworks, and solutions to address the challenges, tackling obstacles and blockers.
This position is highly collaborative and facilitative in nature, requiring the individual to be great at relationship building to drive support and alignment across the organization.
Responsibilities :
- Facilitate processes to accomplish complex implementation objectives, managing change, and resolving issues that span project teams and departments by planning, organizing, directing, and supervising program activities in a cost-effective and productive manner to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Drive, direct, monitor, and contribute to identifying efficiency opportunities across the enterprise with a consistent view on prioritization of the most significant challenges to business success.
- Collaborate and coordinate with various departments and company leaders to plan, strategize and execute specific goals, and identify unique opportunities related to process transformation.
- Identify new process improvement opportunities in the areas of quality, cost, performance, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Define prioritization for the most significant challenges to business success for the Executive Committee to increase operational efficiency and productivity.
- Evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements.
- Collaborate with various teams to reduce process variations, improve process capabilities, and optimize process performance.
- Develop standard procedures and policies to be followed for transformation efforts utilizing Six Sigma methodology as a framework.
- Facilitate the deployment and change management of new and enhanced processes to provide improved workflows and to create efficiencies.
- Communicate strategy, goals, and justification for transformation efforts effectively throughout the company at various forums and support functional teams to align outcomes to corporate strategy.
- Provide Lean Six Sigma basic training for direct employees / team members and enterprise partners to develop process improvement ambassadors across the organization.
- Oversee all aspects of projects, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress of projects ensuring that project / department milestones / goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree.
- Master's Degree, preferred.
- Ten years of experience implementing large scale projects.
- Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Project Management certification (PMP).
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and analyze detailed information and present it in a variety of formats for business, executive, and technical audiences.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to influence the actions of others and be decisive when needed.
- High level of initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
