Our walk-in clinic is a fast-growing multi-million-dollar urgent care corporation looking for a full-time Medical Assistant.

The Medical Assistant job duties include but are not limited to :

• Patient registration / EMR
• Insurance verification
• Familiar with simple computer tasks and Microsoft
• Vitals
• Proficient in venipuncture and injections
• Collecting urine specimens and preparing for LAB send-outs
• In office testing including FLU, strep and pregnancy testing
• Prepare for suturing
• Sterilization, etc.
• Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiology

Requirements for the Medical Assistant position include :

• Possess a valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification or have at least one (1) year of verifiable, clinical work experience in an Emergency Department, Hospital, or Urgent Care environment as a Medical Assistant, ED / ER Technician, or Patient Care Technician.
• Ability to pass our internal clinical assessment
• Able to work 7-13 hour shifts
• Able to work morning and afternoon shifts
• Able to work weekends
• Able to be on call for 1-2 shifts per week.
• Required to travel to different locations within an hour radius for coverage in times of critical business demands or staffing needs for on-call shifts (comes with employee bonus!)
• Required to have a valid driver's license or a valid driver's level 2 permit
• Must have reliable transportation
• Able to sit, walk, reach with hands and arms throughout the workday.
• Finger dexterity and hand coordination required.
• Occasionally required to lift moderate weight (20-40 pounds)
• Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust or focus
