The Localization & Language Expansion Team (LELI) develops high-quality, user-centered content for the companies and individuals who sell goods and services through Amazon, and for the team that helps sellers when they contact Seller Support.

The team's goal is to deliver / localize content that provides Selling Partners and Customers a direct path between an issue and it’s resolution, by providing timely and helpful documentation in 27 languages across 19 stores.

The team is looking for a talented, driven, self-directed Business Analyst to join an organization that is responsible for the success of implementation of content management programs.

This person will be responsible for ensuring we meet our key deliverables, on time with high quality, and communicating status to internal and external stakeholders.

This person will also help provide the analytics and insights to improve the process for building our tools on a global scale.

This Business Analyst must have advanced proficiency in SQL, statistical analysis and Excel (including Pivot Tables, dynamic dashboards, array functions, Power Pivots, VBA, etc.

and can build instrumented dashboards for impact analysis and reporting.

Also has program management skills to work closely with the Product Managers, process engineering, Operations and Customer Excellence teams on process improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and A / B testing.

Successful candidates will have a strong analytical skills, program management background, be detail oriented, and have excellent problem solving abilities.

The candidate should also have strong communication and project management skills, enabling them to work with key business stakeholders to understand requirements and shape analytical deliverables.

He / she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to work cross-organizationally.

Key job responsibilities

This role is requiring an individual who thinks big and will build reporting capability for Localization and Language Expansion analytics.

The ideal candidate for this role will should be :

Able to proactively identify problems with significant business impact; facilitate analysis to identify problems and opportunities.

Work with team leadership to understand the customer needs and concerns as well as define solutions.

Translate basic business problem statements into analysis requirements. Work with internal customers to define best output based on expressed stakeholder needs.

Use analytical and statistical rigor to solve complex problems and drive business decisions.

Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting.

Write queries and output efficiently, and have in-depth knowledge of the data available in area of expertise. Pull the data needed with standard query syntax;

periodically identify more advanced methods of query optimization. Convert data to make it analysis-ready.

Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis : data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.

Monitor and troubleshoot operational or data issues in the data pipelines.

Review and audit existing ETL jobs and SQL queries.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
  • Experience with Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
