A company is looking for a Medical Coding Specialist to assign medical codes for outpatient surgical facilities and ensure claims reimbursement.
Key ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze medical records to assign appropriate ICD-10 codesEnsure coding accuracy and compliance with guidelines and regulationsIdentify documentation issues and communicate opportunities for improvementRequired Qualifications and EducationRHIA, RHIT, CPC, COC, or CCS certification requiredAssociates degree in a relevant field preferred or equivalent education and experience2+ years of ASC revenue cycle or coding experienceKnowledge of AMA, CMS, and CPT coding guidelinesFamiliarity with ICD-10-CM, medical terminology, anatomy & physiology
