About The Position
- Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Monday Friday;
- 7 : 00 AM 3 : 30 PM (Heart rooms from 5 : 50 AM 2 : 20 PM when circulating in first room) Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum 1 year experience circulating in a heart room;
must be able to circulate other rooms License : Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have : Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities for formulating effective nursing care plans- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services- Effective communication skills with patients, families, and hospital personnel Job Description : Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care- Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation- Provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families- Communicate pertinent patient / family information effectively to the healthcare team- Participate in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure solution implementation- Schedule options : 2x 8-hour shifts and 2x 12-hour shifts or 5x 8-hour shifts- Approximately 7 on-call days per month, usually in the afternoons from 7 : 30 PM 5 : 20 AM / 6 : 20 AM, Monday to Friday- Weekend on-call shifts are 24 hours
