Job Title : Inventory Control Specialist (1st Shift)
Location : Huntington Beach, CA
Shift : Monday - Friday, 5 : 15 am - 2 : 00 pm
Pay Rate : $21.00 Hourly
Essential Duties :
- Conducting inventory cycle counts, addressing discrepancies, and making necessary corrections.
- Creating and assigning new locations for first article components.
- Maintaining accuracy of production supplies and creating warehouse inventory transaction reports.
- Assisting in various inventory corrections and locating missing inventory.
- Contributing to special projects, including discontinued item removal and damaged parts relocation.
- Minimizing overstocks and obsolete materials to optimize working capital availability.
- Ensuring proper receipt and management of incoming materials according to company procedures.
- Identifying, recommending, and implementing improvement processes to enhance inventory accuracy.
- Undertaking additional assignments as directed by management.
Required Skills :
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Strong basic math and counting accuracy skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, dependability, and persistence.
- Excellent time management with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Positive, "can-do" attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using inventory and ERP software systems.
- Ability to follow directions, work independently, and use office equipment (e.g., calculators, computers).
- Familiarity with basic MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Previous experience in lean manufacturing / continuous improvement environments is advantageous.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Education and Experience :
- High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in inventory control.
- Basic understanding of cycle counts, inventory management, warehouse procedures, and best practices.
