Position Overview : We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mold Maker / Carpenter to join our team. This position will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and repairing wooden molds according to specifications.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Interpret and understand blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the requirements for projects.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Assemble and finish molds, ensuring precision and attention to detail in all aspects of the work.
- Operate and maintain woodworking machines and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Sand, stain, and varnish wood surfaces to achieve desired finishes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program or technical school training in woodworking or carpentry preferred.
- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or in a similar woodworking role.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, and finishes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy materials.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions :
- Full-time position with regular working hours; occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, and dust masks is required.
