About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on accounting professional who can help enhance our monitoring and reporting procedures to support timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.

A very strong accounting background is critical, including audit support and technical knowledge of GAAP, along with an eagerness to shape best practices in a fast-growing startup environment.

This role will report to the Director of Accounting.

This is a full-time hybrid role with company benefits based out of Marina Del Rey, CA.

The anticipated base compensation for this role will be $110,000 to $140,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and local market rates.

What You'll Do :

• Responsible for company’s financial record-keeping and regulatory compliance
• Develop procedures for accurate, timely and reliable financial monitoring
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
• Collaborate with Director of Finance to support financial planning & analysis
• Key contact for ongoing work with external auditors and project leader for year-end audit
• Build out accounting practice in NetSuite, with particular focus on in-house manufacturing, DTC, and retail operations.
• Rigorously measure and report on KPIs on daily, weekly, and monthly basis

About You :

• 7+ years of experience, including :
• Accounting / audit experience at public accounting / audit firm
• Company-level accounting experience
• Professional experience with in-house manufacturing and / or DTC eCommerce / Retail
• Working knowledge of NetSuite
• Mastery of financial accounting
• Bachelor's degree
• Highly quantitative and analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and / or eCommerce industries
• Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred
• Experience with AP a plus
• Experience with cost accounting a plus
• Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgency
• Someone who has high standards takes ownership and is invested in the outcome
• Someone who proactively helps others stays positive and has a good sense of humor
