JOB TITLE : Warehouse II (Inventory Control)

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Organized and dependable inventory specialist who possesses excellent inventory management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

The Inventory specialist will be responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are appropriately verified and reflective of the reported stock.

This role requires a firm reliance on count accuracy, process control, product monitoring, and movement coordination to control inventory.

Additionally, this position will determine the root causes of discrepancies and devise means to correct those variances.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, maintain & update multiple reports that accurately track inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct physical cycle counts on items, notate, research variances and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Perform analysis of inventory transactions and produce reports to identify inventory deficiencies.
  • Multitasking and working to ICQA deadlines on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
  • Partner with other departments to build inventory accuracy, standard procedures, controls, and practices.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide appropriate information as it relates to inventory and availability.
  • Effectively communicate client issues and concerns to all applicable internal staff members.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to standard operating procedures
  • Working knowledge with digital scanners
  • Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
  • Participates in quality improvement processes.
  • Adhering to daily schedules and deadlines.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.

MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate / oversee departmental projects
  • Help execute daily, weekly, monthly action plans that increase accuracy
  • Organize and maintain file system, file correspondence and other records
  • Generate WMS driven reports to assist ICQA counting team
  • Teach and educate associates on the importance of ICQA
  • Occasionally, picks, packs, and handles materials for orders
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Flexible, and able to move within other warehouse positions
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Team Player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Performs quality inspections on outgoing shipments.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

  • Full understanding of procedures and goals relating to ICQA department
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in inventory management
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Intermediate / Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Experience with ERP Order Management Systems / Warehouse Management Systems -Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to prioritize tasks and goals
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Ability to perform diversified clerical & administrative functions.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Forklift experience preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Prolonged periods of standing / walking / sitting
  • Continually lift, carry and / or move up to 50lbs
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
  • Continually work near moving mechanical parts
  • Occasional loud noise
  • Occasional varying environmental temperature changes
