Responsibilities
Northwest Specialty Hospital , an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, brings expanded services to a new building located at 3 Sharlands Ave.
in Northwest Reno. The facility will offer acute rehabilitation and adult behavioral health services.
Our acute rehabilitation services include occupational, speech, and physical therapy for adults recovering from stroke, injury, or another disabling condition.
We offer advanced treatment for a wide range of conditions including stroke, brain injury, amputation, neurological disorders, major multiple traumas and spinal cord and back injuries.
All patients will experience private rooms, have access to a newly renovated therapy gym, and personalized care from our qualified staff.
This Dietary Supervisor opportunity is full time at hours per week, offers full benefits and a convient schedule. This position is for our NEW Rehab Hospital located in Northwest Reno.
This dynamic individual will be responsible for directing and supervising food service employees to ensure all duties, including food production and sanitation requirements, are completed in a safe timely manner, according to all local, state, federal regulations and standards of TJC.
Job Duties / Responsibilities :
- Overseas sanitary food handling procedures, ensuring HACCP principles and state regulated codes are adhered to by staff.
- Supervises dietary staff in areas of food service and cafeteria in line with the department and hospital mission.
- Instructs staff in sanitation, infection control, portion control and safe food handling through monthly in-services and on a as needed basis.
- Actively participates in recipe development, inventory, and ordering of supplies within budget constraints.

About Universal Health Services :
Qualifications
- Certified by Washoe County as a Food Protection Manager preferred.
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED), Associates Degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience as a supervisor or manager in a food service facility. Experience in acute care hospital or institutional food service preferred.
