Responsibilities
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides on-site attendant care to adolescents residing in Newport Healthcare at assigned facilities.
The CNA is expected to perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the mission and core values of Newport Healthcare and comply with all policies and procedures, OSHA, HIPAA, local, state, and federal regulations.
Part-Time : Fri-Sun Evenings
Essential Duties :
- Assist nurses in monitoring chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures, if applicable, and report findings to nurse.
- Obtain patient data and vital signs and report findings to the RN / Medical Director.
- Comply with all reporting requirements, biohazard program requirements, medical protocols, etc.
- Attend meetings per prior arrangement and participate as an interdisciplinary team member.
- Administer Medications once trained or certified per state requirement.
Qualifications
- Must have completed CNA program and current license in good standing.
- Experience in residential nursing preferred.
- EMR savvy.
- Must become medication certified (depending on state) or med pass trained within the first sixty (60) days of hire.
