Responsibilities What you'll be challenged to do : Responsible for data entry into the Florida Department of Transportation Bridge Management System facilitated via the Internet.
Looking for a technical individual, team oriented with strong communication skills. Individual must be willing to travel and work outside.
General Duties & Responsibilities : individual will be trained in the following : Field Bridge Inspection and preparation.
Organize and enter inspector’s notes into the Bridge Management System. Prepare reports for submission. Individual will be required to take and convert measurements.
Other duties may be assigned, but not limited to : Create folders for different districts Keep track of inspection files for different projects.
Communication with sub-consultants on related tasks. Basic office duties (answer telephone and door) Maintaining file folder for different inspection projects.
Qualifications What you bring to our firm : High School Diploma with 1 year of Data Entry experience. Minimum (Basic knowledge of computers and typing at least 50 WPM is necessary).
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Willing to work outside. Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
What we’d prefer for you to bring to our firm : Word and Excel certification a plus. Knowledge of Adobe, Paint.net, Print Station, Betterjpeg, and Google Maps.
Knowledge of FDOT Mainframe and Bridge Management System. Work Environment : The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk or hear, and drive a bucket truck or a pickup.
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
