PART-TIME LIBRARIAN (TEMPORARY)

WILBUR WRIGHT COLLEGE

The Library of Wilbur Wright College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago, seeks innovative, collaborative, customer service-oriented, technologically astute part-time librarian (temporary) to provide professional services to students, faculty, and staff. This position is responsible for delivering a full range of services, including customer service, reference assistance, collection development, library and information literacy instruction, and education to students regarding the use of the college library.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Staffs the reference desk and supports online research and information requests.
• Assists all library users in identifying and using electronic and print materials.
• Supports the acquisition, cataloging, and circulation of library materials.
• Collaborates with staff and faculty in order to select new resources for the library collection, working within the approved collection development guidelines.
• Assists with the creation of research guides, library displays, and events.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Adheres to City Colleges of Chicago board rules, policies, procedures, and code of ethics.
