CLASS A CDL DRIVER
Position Description
Class A CDL Driver Department 124140 - Trucking-Truck Drivers Location MUR - Murrieta West Pak Avocado is looking for a dynamic Class A CDL Driver, with a passion for produce and transportation.
Responsibilities :
Pick up and deliver avocados while operating a tractor-trailer truck.
Load and unload pallets, and bins of avocados.
Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
Drive mostly short distances
Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.
Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
Follow all applicable traffic laws.
Inspect their trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.
Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
Keep a log of their activities.
Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
Keep their truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.
Plan routes using maps or satellite tracking.
Get goods to client on time.
Take rest periods during trip.
Take special precautions while driving.
Maintain log of trips.
Qualifications :
3 years DMV / MVR record with two or fewer moving violations / accidents, no suspensions.
No DUI in the last 5 years.
Willingness to drive long distances.
Experience :
3+ years of long-haul trucking experience.
Education / Certification :
CDL Class A
Physical Requirements / Work Conditions :
Physical demands include bending, stooping, and reaching above and below shoulder level in order to access records, as well as lifting and carrying files and documents typically weighing less than 25 pounds in an office environment and up to 40 when in the warehouse.

The employee constantly works in both field and office environments and accesses stores, sales offices, trade show, conferences, and special events sites as well as plant and production areas to communicate with supervisors and rarely with operation employees.
