We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024-25 school year in Warrenville, IL.
Position Overview :
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to work with students with varying disabilities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and a strong commitment to supporting students in achieving their academic and social goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Modify general education curriculum to accommodate students with disabilities.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student development.
- Employ a variety of teaching techniques and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Maintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports on children and activities, as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid state Special Education Teaching License.
- Previous experience working with children with disabilities preferred.
- Strong understanding of various disabilities and special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
