Overview

The Program Manager, under this division, oversees a cross-functional program / project team to ensure the successful execution of a large and important government program.

This role involves managing complex programs / projects, requiring extensive planning, oversight, and communication across multiple segments, channels, or lines of business.

Programs typically may reach or exceed $25 million in size.

The successful candidate will have the flexibility to choose to work from one of our following office locations :

Springfield, Illinois St. Louis, Missouri Miami, Florida Tampa, Florida

Please note : This is an in-office position. Candidates must specify their preferred office location in their application.

Travel to various conferences and vendor visits will be necessary

Experience and Skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Management : Oversee cross-functional teams to deliver programs and projects on time and within budget. Provide strategic direction and mentorship to team members.
  • Program Planning : Manage the general and detailed planning stages of organizational programs. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that outline objectives, milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Budget Oversight : Monitor and report on the program budget, ensuring financial objectives are met. Implement cost-saving measures and optimize resource allocation.
  • Program Evaluation : Assess the implementation and effectiveness of programs. Collect and analyze data to recommend enhancements and improvements based on program results.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Ensure clear and consistent communication with stakeholders. Prepare and present program status reports, updates, and presentations.
  • Risk Management : Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with program delivery. Develop contingency plans to address potential issues.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with service partners to ensure seamless delivery and a consistent experience across multiple distribution channels.
  • Supervisory : This position does not have any direct reports.

Qualifications

  • Organizational Leadership : Proven leadership abilities with a track record of leading successful teams and projects.
  • Problem Solving : Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Program Management : Proficient in managing large, complex programs from inception to completion.
  • Project Management : Expertise in project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Required : US Citizenship under Federal Executive Orders.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of a university / college degree.
  • At least 5+ years of industry-relevant experience.
  • Specific certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP) are desired.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
  • Technical Skills : Familiarity with program management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
  • Experience in Agile Project Management or Agile Certification preferred.
