Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.

Soliant is collaborating with a year-round school in Washington D.C., and is seeking a contract Speech-Language Pathologist who can start ASAP, and stay on assignment for at least 1 year.

The school heads a specialized program for children to young adults (3-22) who need extensive accommodations due to ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).

As such, we seek Speech Pathologists with expertise in this area.

Additional information about the school will be shared in a direct interview with school administrators, following a successful phone screening with Soliant representatives.

Requirements :

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
  • Maryland Speech-Language Pathology License

As a school-based SLP, you will :

  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
  • Present evaluation results and propose IEP (Individual Education Plan) goals at IEP meetings
  • Provide individual and / or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
  • Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
  • Provide reports of a students progress to parents.
  • Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
