The Division of Cardiology at Albany Med Health System is seeking an academic non-invasive cardiologist to join our team.
This position will focus on all aspects of non-invasive cardiology including, inpatient consultative and critical cardiac care, office-based practice, and image interpretation.
The Division offers unique faculty expertise in all areas of clinical cardiology including imaging and other non-invasive modalities, interventional cardiology and structural heart diseases, electrophysiology, and advanced heart failure.
The division consists of 17 academic cardiologists based at the main teaching campus, 8 cardiologists practicing at community-based sites, and a team of APPs, nurses, technicians, and other supportive colleagues.
There are thriving ACGME-accredited fellowships in general cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. Albany Medical College is one of the nation’s oldest private medical schools, having been founded in 1839, and is the only academic tertiary and quaternary care hospital in the Capital Region of Upstate New York.
The successful candidate must be board certified or board eligible in cardiovascular diseases. Additional subspecialty certification such as echocardiography and nuclear cardiology are desirable but not required.
The successful candidate will work in a collegial environment that emphasizes multidisciplinary approaches to patient care and research, as well as dedication to medical education at the undergraduate and graduate medical education level.
Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and academic rank.
