Registered Nurse Relief Supervisor position

Full Time Evening Position Available 3 : 45pm to 12am Monday - Thursday

Currently weekends are not required, but we reserve the right to amend the schedule to the departments needs which may include every other weekend shifts.

Enjoy working in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team structure. Psychiatric nursing experience with acute care or dual disorder patient populations required.

The ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment where the total emphasis is on delivering optimum patient care is vital.

A qualified candidate will provide oversight of and leadership to the care / services provided by employees of a free-standing psychiatric hospital.

Collaborates with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement processes to ensure the efficient and effective achievement of patient / client outcomes in accordance with physician orders.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor of Science Degree minimum, Masters Degree Preferred.
• Licensed and currently registered to practice as a professional Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
• Psychiatric nursing experience with acute care, dual disorder and eating disorder population, preferred.
• Scheduled Hours : 3 : 45 pm to 12 am.

The potential candidate would be responsible for the following tasks and duties :

• Responsible for safety and efficiency of the patient-care staff throughout the facility.
• Communicates and trouble-shoots ongoing patient care issues.
• Mentors patient-care staff.
• Assures that the facility is properly staffed.
• Provides and maintains a safe and therapeutic milieu.
